ToolsBracker ("we", "us", "our") operates toolsbracker.com — a free, browser-based platform for gaming benchmarks including click speed, reaction time, typing speed, and 30+ other tests. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
By using ToolsBracker you agree to the practices described below. If you disagree with any part of this policy, please discontinue use of the site.
1. Test Results Stay in Your Browser by Default
The benchmarking tools on ToolsBracker — the CPS Test, Reaction Time Test, Typing Speed Test, and all other interactive tests — run entirely in your browser. By default, your results are not sent to our servers. Your scores and personal bests are saved only in your browser's local storage on your own device, so you can track improvement between sessions. Clearing your browser data removes them. No keystroke logging occurs at any point during testing, and no account is required.
The one exception is optional: if you choose to submit a score to a public leaderboard, the data you enter is stored on our servers as described in Section 2. If you never press "Submit Score", nothing leaves your browser.
2. Leaderboard Submissions (Optional)
When you voluntarily submit a score to a leaderboard, we store:
- The display name you enter (please do not use your real full name)
- The country you select (or the one auto-detected from your IP address at country level)
- Your score, the test it belongs to, and the test duration
- A random session identifier stored in your browser's local storage, used only for rate limiting and spam prevention — it is not linked to your identity
Your display name, country flag, and score appear publicly on that tool's leaderboard. This data is stored in our database hosted by Supabase. We do not collect your email address, real name, or precise location through leaderboards.
To have a leaderboard entry removed, email us at contact@toolsbracker.com with the tool, display name, and approximate submission date.
3. Contact Form
If you use our contact form, we store the name, email address, subject, and message you provide in our database (hosted by Supabase) so we can read and reply to your message. We use this information only to respond to you. We do not add you to any mailing list and we do not share this data with third parties. You can request deletion of your contact submissions at any time.
4. Information Collected Automatically
When you visit ToolsBracker, standard web server and analytics tools may collect:
- Your browser type and version
- The pages you visit and how long you spend on them
- Your approximate geographic region derived from your IP address (country or city level, not precise location)
- The device type (desktop, mobile, tablet) and operating system
- Referral source (e.g., search engine or another website that linked to us)
This data is aggregated and we cannot identify you personally from it.
5. Analytics, Cookies, and Local Storage
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used (pages visited, approximate location, device type). Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish visitors. You can learn how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Vercel Analytics & Speed Insights
Our hosting provider Vercel collects anonymous, aggregated performance and usage metrics. Vercel Analytics does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites.
Grow by Mediavine (Journey)
We use the Grow engagement framework by Mediavine, which may set identifiers to remember preferences and measure engagement. See the Mediavine Privacy Policy for details.
Local Storage
We use your browser's local storage (not cookies) to save your personal best scores and a random session identifier used for leaderboard rate limiting. This data stays on your device and can be removed by clearing your browser data.
Advertising Cookies (Google AdSense)
We may display advertisements served by Google AdSense. When ads are shown, Google and its partners use advertising cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, and learn more in the Google advertising technologies policy.

Clicking an affiliate link takes you to the merchant's site, where their privacy policy applies. We do not receive any personal information about your purchase beyond aggregate commission reporting.
